Recycling milk cartons is a lot more complicated than you might expect. In a recycling facility, plastic and cardboard can’t be recycled together, so there are machines that separate loose materials. When it comes to cartons, however, it is nearly impossible to make a clean cut that separates the plastic from the cardboard.
